Client Review: A European Cruise Honeymoon

I just got this great letter from my honeymoon clients returning from their European cruise honeymoon on the Celebrity Reflection.

"Our cruise was absolutely amazing! The Celebrity Reflection ship is stunning and so new! The food in Blu was spectacular and we also went to the specialty sushi restaurant one night which was amazing as well! The hotel in Rome was also very nice and a great location since we could walk everywhere. We also ended up upgrading to the premium package for only $185 so we were really happy we did that.

Our favorite places were Rome, Mykonos and Santorini. We would love to go back to those places.

This week's Travel Tuesday was about:

,My observation from working with families planning travel is that the pressure to have a "perfect" vacation can be so overwhelming. It's critical to remember that your vacations are supposed to be fun!

In the video, I go through an example from my personal travel. My husband and I took a 48 hour trip to Buffalo / Niagara Falls / Toronto so we could cross the Toronto ball park off our list and I could visit Niagara Falls. You could easily spend 10 days or longer in that area. We could only fit 48 hours in our schedule, but we still went.

Was the trip the perfect trip to that area? No way. If we had waited until we could plan a perfect trip, we wouldn't have gone We had a wonderful weekend and it was worth going.

So the lesson of today is - Don't let the pressure of perfection hold you back from planning a trip.

How to Find Your Transfer at the Cancun Airport

You are going to Cancun! YAY!

Be sure a black ink pen, your passport and hotel information are in your carry on.

On the plane, you will be given two forms:

1. An Immigration Form. Each person will need to fill this out.

Be sure to:
  • Put the date in the right format: DAY then Month then Year.
  • Complete the bottom tear off portion of the form. You will need to put this in a safe place because you will need it to leave the country. I place mine inside my passport and then place my passport in the hotel safe.

Spotlight On: Azul Fives

Azul Fives is a family all inclusive resort about 15 minutes from Cancun airport. This is a great options for families that include teenagers or love inventive dining.

The resort kept a lot of the natural landscaping that was there so you really feel like you in the jungle.  This means that animals roam the property including monkeys, coati, and some pretty big grasshoppers.

This large resort is set up so the restaurants and the rooms are towards the front of the property and the beach is towards the back.  Currently, the resort has 480 suites and is initiating a massive construction project that will double the number of suites by 2020.
