Thinking About Upgrading to Enclave at Hilton La Romana? Here's What You Need to Know

If you're planning a stay at Hilton La Romana Adults-Only Resort, one big decision you’ll face is whether to book an Enclave room, also known as the resort’s premium or club-level offering. So, is it worth the extra cost?

Spoiler: Yes! I recently stayed in an Enclave room hosted by Playa Resorts, and here’s a breakdown of why I think the upgrade adds real value—especially if you’re looking for a more elevated, crowd-free, and comfortable vacation experience.

✅ Pros of Booking Enclave at Hilton La Romana

1. Exclusive Enclave Pool with Swim-Up Bar

The adults-only Enclave pool is a major perk. It’s quiet, close to the rooms, and has a swim-up bar with premium liquor. Fewer guests mean it’s easy to snag a chair and relax all day long.

2. Dedicated Enclave Beach Area

While not dramatically different from the standard beach, the Enclave section has more shade and makes it easier to find a spot. That alone can be a big deal at busy times of day.

3. Air-Conditioned Lounge for Evening Comfort

The Enclave Lounge offers a cool, relaxing space to unwind in the evenings—especially helpful since the main bar in the lobby isn't air-conditioned. There’s also TVs, premium drinks, and plenty of comfortable seating.

4. Snacks, Light Breakfast, and Grab-and-Go Options

If you’re not in the mood for the full buffet, the lounge offers a lovely continental-style breakfast and snacks throughout the day—perfect for a light, casual start or midday bite.

5. À La Carte Breakfast & Lunch

Though I didn’t use this perk much, the option to dine à la carte (instead of buffet) for breakfast and lunch is ideal for longer stays or travelers who like a more refined meal experience.

❌ Cons of Booking Enclave

  • À la carte meals may not appeal to all: If you’re more into grab-and-go or poolside eats, you might skip this perk altogether.

  • Beach chairs aren’t significantly better than standard ones—though the area is less crowded and has more shade.

🎯 Final Verdict: Should You Book Enclave?

If you value exclusive pool access, easier beach seating, premium drinks, and a comfortable lounge, then YES—the Enclave upgrade is absolutely worth it. Especially if you're visiting in warmer months and plan to use the lounge to cool off in the evenings.

For a more relaxing, upgraded adults-only experience at Hilton La Romana, Enclave hits the mark without feeling over-the-top or stuffy.
