Puerto Vallarta for Groups and Families



 Located on the coastline of the Pacific Ocean is the beautiful Mexican beach town of Puerto Vallarta. The area offers a wide variety of different tour and activities making it a popular destination for tourists. Check out some wonderful excursion options for your family or group vacation to the area. 


Enjoy a dynamic swim with the dolphins during this Dolphin Royal Swim experience. After an educational presentation about dolphins and sea lions spend some time in the water with a couple dolphins. Activities with the dolphins include foot push, dorsal tow, handshake, and kiss. After your play date with the dolphins spend the afternoon at Aquaventuras park with 10 water slides, playground and swimming pool. Lunch is included. Minimum age is 8 years old. Spend the day on an Extreme Zip Line and UTV Adventure. Start your day with 9 thrilling double-safety wire zip lines including Mexico’s longest and fastest “Superman” zip line. Next up try the NEW wind tunnel for skydiving simulation. Finally climb aboard rugged Polaris UTVs for a jungle tour that will test your off-road driving skills. All zip lines and challenges are optional, BE AS EXTREME AS YOU WANT TO BE. *Must have an active valid driver’s license to drive a UTV. Minimum age is 8. This tour is offered every day except on Saturdays. 

Fun for all ages is the Canopy & Speed Boat Adventure Tour! Start your day with a speed boat ride across the bay. Upon arrival traverse over 2 miles of zip lines through the jungle before spending some time at an animal sanctuary. Next enjoy water slides, kayaking and swimming in a natural pool before lunch on your own. Finish the day with a traditional tequila tasting. This experience is offered daily. Minimum age is 5.

Head to Las Caletas Beach Hideaway for a day filled with adventure an activity. Board a catamaran and sail to Las Caletas. Once ashore you can relax in a hammock, chill in the shade or head to the Spa Center for a massage or facial. For those that want to get active take a guided snorkel tour, grab a paddle board or kayak and explore a cove. Traveling with the family? Make sure to check out the kids adventure park. Lunch and an open bar are included. Minimum age for the kids adventure park is 4. This tour is offered every day except Sundays. 

At night, Las Caletas transforms into a magical paradise with its exclusive Rhythms of the Night experience. Begin your evening with a cruise across Banderas Bay. Upon arrival you will be welcomed to an amazing dinner show by dancers, drummers, and jungle creatures. This tour has been internationally recognized and reviewed by the New York Times. This tour is offered daily and the minimum age is 6. Additional tour options include a VIP experience and an open bar option. 

Pamper yourself and your group on a luxury yacht for a sunset cruise. Sail across Banderas Bay and watch the sun as it dips below the horizon of the waters of the Pacific. Delicious appetizers and an open bar with fine imported wines is included. This Luxury Sunset Sailing is only offered on weekdays with a minimum age of 10. A 6 hour Luxury Sailing daytime experience is also available. 

Whale Watching is a must if your visit to the area is during the winter months. From mid-December through the end of March Banderas Bay has some of the most spectacular whale watching opportunities anywhere. Minimum age is 6. This 3.5 hour tour has two departures daily. 

Visit the colonial town of El Tuito, a region inhabited by Nahua tribes before the Spanish arrived. Nowadays it claims to be the Raicilla Capital of the World. Raicilla is a drink similar to tequila. Visit with some local families that make raicilla and another family that makes bread. Also on this tour you will spend some time at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens in the Sierra Madre Mountains. The gardens feature over 3,000 different species of plants.  Botanical Gardens and El Tuito Private Tour is offered daily.

Experience San Sebastian Del Oeste, a tiny mountain enclave not far from Puerto Vallarta. Learn about the history and culture of the area. Visit a traditional Mexican hacienda, majestic churches and a fascinating museum. End your day with a stop at a working tequila factory and raicilla distillery. This 7 hour tour is offered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Minimum age is 4.  San Sebastian del Oeste Private Tour is also available.  

Take a tranquil day trip to the village and waterfall of Yelapa and waters of Majahuitas cove. These remote coves are ideal for snorkeling, swimming and kayaking. Light breakfast, lunch and an open bar are included. Minimum age is 4. Offered daily except Sundays and Tuesdays. 

Groups up to 12 can take a private tour to Sayulita and San Pancho. Declared one of the Magic Villages, Sayulita is famous for surfing, shopping, and the Chocobananas. San Pancho is known for it’s quiet long stretched beach and its own Golden Gate Bridge. This opportunity is only offered on weekdays.
