Cap Cana is an exclusive area close to the Punta Cana airport with great beaches, a golf club, and marina area with shops and restaurants. This area does tend to get a bit more seaweed during hurricane season so it's ideal to visit between November to May.
TRS Cap Cana is a great adults only all inclusive resort if you love excellent service, dining, and relaxing pool time. It's located right on the marina with a small beach area. The resort will also transfer you to a beach club on a larger beach. The Ambassador Suite is incredible.
Sanctuary Cap Cana took over an old church and fortress. It's been a hotel since 2007 and added a new tower in 2018. The resort is very unique offering several different types of accommodations including a two bedroom suite attached to a little island.
Secrets Cap Cana is an adults only all inclusive resort in the gated community of Cap Cana about 20 minutes from the Punta Cana airport. The resort has a large, wide beach. I love how you can see the ocean from the pool. I think the Preferred Club here delivers a terrific value. Preferred Club rooms include access to the Preferred Club lounge, pool, beach, upgraded mini bar and breakfast and lunch at the Rosewater restaurant.
Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana opened in 2019. What sets this resort apart is great ocean views from the swim up pool and great dining. I recommend upgrading to the Club Level to gain access to a special pool, beach area, and a la carte breakfast.
If you are looking for family accommodations, Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is right next to Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. Adults can go back and forth between the two resorts. What sets this resort apart is the water park, huge main pool, and great dining.
