Three Days in Edinburgh Scotland
Hello! I am so excited for you to join me on a monthlong summer European adventure. We start in Edinburgh, Scotland:
We spent three days exploring Edinburgh:
Edinburgh Castle - Be sure to pre-book your tickets. You’ll need to select a time. I highly recommend traveling with a guide or purchasing the audio tour. You’ll get so much out of the experience.
Literary Pub Tour - This was a fun orientation to Edinburgh and Scottish writers. Actors led our tour around Old Town Edinburgh with stops to recite works from famous Scottish authors.
Timberbush Tours Loch Ness, Glencoe & The Highlands - If you want to see Loch Ness in a day on a budget, this is the way to do it. It’s a 13 hour bus ride, but the scenery is stunning. We learned a lot about the history of Scotland. I also got to do my own search for the Loch Ness monster. I got very excited when I saw a wake with no visible boat. Sadly, the boat was just out of sight. Be sure to prebook the castle tour and / or boat ride when you book the tour.
Camera Obscura and World of Illusions - This met our quirky museum quota for the trip. It’s a fun house combined with a century old panoramic camera.
Be sure to make a booking for dinner at the local pubs. They are small and fill up quickly especially during football (soccer) tournaments.
Up next in my journey is a cruise to the Arctic on the Seabourn Venture so stay tuned.
