Ensenada Shore Excursions

Cruise ships departing from San Diego and Los Angeles often make a stop in Ensenada, Mexico to meet federal laws that require ships flying under foreign flags to stop in another country before going on to U.S. ports. With cruising getting going on the Western Coast of the U.S. lets check out a couple cruise friendly excursions for a day in Ensenada.

This five hour La Bufadora Tour with horseback riding in Baja California is a great way to explore the Punta Banda Peninsula. When you arrive in the area you will start with a horseback ride on the beach and see water shoot into the sky from La Bufadora, the world’s largest blowhole. Afterwards you will go shopping in downtown Ensenada for souvenirs, followed up by sipping a margarita in the bar where the drink was invented before heading back to your ship.  A shorter tour without horseback riding and the margarita tasting is also available. Both tours are offered daily.

Wine taste your way through the Valle of Guadalupe on this private 6 hour tour. Stop at two different wineries and learn about the method of wine production and enjoy tasting several wines at each winery.  The tour also includes a gourmet lunch at a winery restaurant. Minimum drinking age is 18. This tour is offered daily.

On this 7-hour wine and cheese tour you will travel to the Ojos Negros Valley, east of Ensenada. Taste wine and artisan cheese (included) paired with quality wine at San Rafael. Learn about Ramonetti cheesemaking on a guided tour of the cellar oftour Rancho Ramonetti. Afterwards enjoy lunch in their restaurant with a glass of wine. This tour is offered daily.

Enjoy a couples massage with private pick-up. After a 10 minute drive, enter the spa where the technician will discuss your massage requests, how to customize pressure and where to focus on your body. The massage can also be enhanced with facials, hot stones, deep tissue and CBD creams. This tour is offered every day except Mondays and Thursdays.
